    Freelander 1 FL1 55 plate starting!

Just to add, on one of the other threads we have discussed that it could be bits from the O ring causing the problem with the injectors. My car has been doing the same as yours, but I am on holiday and its parked up for two weeks till tonight. I am worried it's not going to start tonight when I...

    Freelander 1 Start problems

MAF, MAP and the pesky HpFP regulator O ring. O ring costs a fiver so I would start there. there is a link on the other threads Alibro mentions.

neither post above would cause the issue you have now got, so I suggest its not thanks to either of them. I would also suggest people refrain from helping you in the future.

    Freelander 1 FL1 55 plate starting!

Been loads of threads on TD4's and starting issues. My advice is start with hpfp regulator O ring. its cheap, causes the issue you are describing and if its not that you have not spent a fortune. A couple of people have quite alot of money and found it was little blighter, so that would be...

Other freelander diesel 2.0 won't start

This thread has a picture of a degrading o ring. There are two recent threads of similar symptoms of not starting. This pic shows areas of the o ring missing. https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/low-pressure-fuel-pump-continually-runs-engine-wont-start.290984/

Other freelander diesel 2.0 won't start

From what I have read of other peoples issues, some have split, but one photo did show that it had started to disintegrate, so you could be correct thats bits are affecting the injectors.

This is the little blighter causing so many problems

Other freelander diesel 2.0 won't start

Several people have reported similar issues with no codes and its been the pesky o ring. As I said at £8 I would just fit one to elminate it.

Other freelander diesel 2.0 won't start

What about the HPFP o ring, thats been the root cause of a few peoples troubles on here recently and at £8 it would be first replacement as its the cheapest.

Td4 Rattle and stutter under load - SOLVED

I had a very rare Nissan Sylvia 2.0 DOHC, the chain on that was very noisy. As has been pointed out it was only noisy on tick over. ran like that for several years before a friend I sold it too had to scrap it as parts were only available from Nissan and it needed discs, pads all round and rear...

Td4 Rattle and stutter under load - SOLVED

get yourself some of these. I have some, they work wonders in locating rattles. However I dont put them near belts for obvious reasons but you can discount different bearings using them.

    Freelander 1 Clutch problems...

It may just need bleeding yes. However as Joe H has said its better to know the model and year as specific clutch types have different problems.

    Freelander 1 Clutch problems...

It sounds like it could have air in the system. Personally I would leave well alone, if its been like that for two years it could well stay that way till you trade it in. If you get someone to mess with it, then it could go wrong and you end up paying out.

    Freelander Project IV (Bertie)

Is that not the power for the fuel pump that sends fuel to the diesel heater on the HSE. I forgot mine had one until a couple of weeks ago I stopped to put diesel in after only driving about 800 yards and there was smoke coming from under the car. I had a little panic moment till I remembered...
