hey guys, better late than never.... did a caster correction and added a double jointed prop shaft and happy days not even the slightest vibration... cheers, problem solved

    Winch wiring opinions please.

good evening I'm just finishing up on my wiring for the winch, the supplied cables inside the box were long enough to make it from the solenoid box in the engine bay to the winch. I've currently wired it to the starter motor, but I've generally read a lot of negative stuff about it online and...

    Propshaft vibration

Jup it was sliding properly. Gave it a proper grease when I took it off actually when I installed the lift as well. The UJs did seem to be also in good condition and move freely without any issue but I’ll give it a go!

    Propshaft vibration

Hey guys, reviving an old thread here :) I’ve got vibration from my prop shaft after doing a 2 inch lift. By looking at it and inspecting it to my untrained eye it seemed to be all right though.. but I’ve done the test to drive without the front propshaft and it was gone. What would be a...

What have you done to your Landie today.

finished the boxes I put in the defender which can double as a bed/storage for future travels. what you guys think? weirdly enough I see everybody making drawers and more complicated stuff, no one going for the simple way? originally this idea came about because I use my car for work so this...

What have you done to your Landie today.

I see a lot of good work here by many, inspiring. on my defender I cleaned the sensors in the engine bay, the intake manifold one was disgusting... (shamefully admitting it was it's first cleaning in many many many years) not sure if it was a placebo effect but I think like I could feel it...

    What is it about them?

You are giving me even more reason to buy that 110 single cab I've been looking at. two defenders is better than one defenders ?

    no start day(again)

ok last update :p done and dusted, cleaned the hell out of the insides and outsides of everything. had a small heart attack when I plugged the ecu back in and the fuel pump didn't turn on... forgot to connect the sensor cable to the injectors which I cleaned out too, plugged it in and it...

undid screws and noticed they are dirty on the inside, I'm afraid this needs to be opened. having a hard time pulling the lid off though, little bastard is stuck on there tight... seen a guy on youtube doing it with hot water... don't feel like pouring hot water on my ecu though.......

cheers guys, seems like no need to buy a land cruiser after all. so it was an earth problem as was suspected from the start. even though I cleaned them all in what appears surgical condition, the problem is still elsewhere. then I decided to just run a new wire from the earth terminal on...

    no start day(again)

I'm looking into the three amigos as we speak, going to do some of that stuff tomorrow. seems like a giant pain to go into being so far from home. also, don't think the three amigos has to do with removal of EGR? it started with a vague not fully lit blinkering of the abs light on dash, so i'm...

couldn't stay idle,so went for another fiddle. did the bulkhead earth behind coolant overflow tank and the one in the back door next to the wiper motor. I feel like I've done em all now? unless I've missed some mysteriously hidden earths. no change. lights and everything seem to work...

    no start day(again)

battery was fully charged until recently when I started mucking about, going to plug it in and give it another go tomorrow. did some digging and searching, nothing concrete so far, but gonna do some more searching tonight, something might pop up that I missed in other posts. also that ****ty...

    no start day(again)

ok so done all the earths now, spic and span to eat off. except the engine bay ones? can't seem to find one in there? the closest one "to the front" I can find is the one from chassis to car body, located near front crossmember.. could I have lost an earth belt randomly? or am I just not seeing...

still progressing on the earths but no improvement(giving each one a thorough clean as I progress, when in Rome....) battery is fresh so no worries there either. no blown fuses or stuff like that. feels like a shame to burn her with a full tank of diesel is there a detailed guide/diagram for...

thanks for the tips guys, I'm halfway through cleaning all the earths, even though some are quite dirty and rusty and muddy, still no difference. might burn it and buy a cruiser

    no start day(again)

good morning everyone, not such a good morning for my Td5 Defender. my starter runs but engine doesn't turn over. I've noticed there is some oil on the red connector of the ECM, it ran fine until yesterday evening though. there is a strong buzzing coming from the fusebox, its done this before...
