    Check the wiring on the near side front, under the bonnet, maybe hiding under the inner wheel arch. Check from bulkhead to where they terminate. Also check the fuses, of course, I think the washer is on a different fuse to the other two, but maybe not!

    Oh right, I didn’t realise they dropped significantly. What part of the design makes them drop? Is it just metal-on-metal wear? Maybe for a grease nipple like they have on diggers and tractors?

    As Lynall has said, they’re holding the sheets together. Your new gasket is an MLS - multi-layered steel, your old gasket is a composite.

    Something to do with the dim/dip relay and the lack of current the Leds are pulling through it. Hopefully someone will be along shortly with the answer! May an adjustable relay?
