    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

It's a 50A suffix D box that in reverse sounds like it's about to grind to bits v clunky going into a other gears and it has what looks like a SD1 V8 bell housing on that has a big hole cut for starter

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

Ha ha no. It's a Detroit 638 diesel. The adaptor is bolted to a flywheel housing from a RRC 2.4 VM engine. I have a 3.6 6 cylinder VM engine and I've been sniggering about trying to sort the gearbox out for it. This setup seems to work perfectly with the 4cyl LT77 or shorty R380. And hopefully...

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find a V8 to LT77 Adaptor ring please? Either I'm being a dumb*** (probably the case), or don't seem available anywhere anymore. Cheers

RRC LT77 Rebuilt for 90. Could ya?

Also not 100% but I reckon its joined via an SD1 bell housing with a bit smashed/cut out for starter. Starting to think it might be cheaper/easier to just buy a 300tdi disco with R380 and wrestle everything in. What do you think?

RRC LT77 Rebuilt for 90. Could ya?

I'm goin to presume that the block is the same as the old RRC 2.4/2.5VM blocks. So my next question would be, does anybody know if the clutch plate out of the later tdi is the same size as the VM clutch plate or, (and fingers really tightly crossed), is the whole clutch cover and plate...

RRC LT77 Rebuilt for 90. Could ya?

I'm hoping it would be that easy, but the box is mated to a 3.6 VM HR 692 HT Motori engine and nothing has been straightforward so far so who know's what clutch is in there

RRC LT77 Rebuilt for 90. Could ya?

Sh*t!! That will mean hunting around for a suitable clutch to fit too then! Will the transfer box I currently have mated to the 50A fit with th 56A G box?

RRC LT77 Rebuilt for 90. Could ya?

Ha, like you read my mind Mr Martin. Think I need to pull the old box that's in there now and throw the pair of boxes, bell housings and all at someone competent and say 'make it work please'. Cheers gents

RRC LT77 Rebuilt for 90. Could ya?

Hi Oldseadog, thanks for reply. No, the bell housings, and therefore shafts on the Range Rover box are definitely longer than the 90 box. Obviously way beyond my skills. Just wondering if it's a possibility for someone with correct tools and skills (like @jamesmartin )to change shafts length but...

RRC LT77 Rebuilt for 90. Could ya?

Hi all. Search engine doesn't seem to be working so this may have been covered, apologies if so. Just wondered if it would be posible to convert a 'G' or 'H' sufix LT77 from a Disco or RRC to fit in a defender with the short bell housing. I know the shaft is a different length and would need...

Door Locking options on a 1984 LR 110

Confused now. That looks like series doors. I thought early 110/90 doors were like the's pics. At least mine are. That's not a rear door handle on there is it? Is the other side OK?

    185mm Bell housing?? Help!

Hi all, could anyone shed some light on what bell housing I might have please? It's 185mm in length, has the slave cylinder hole on the drivers side and is bolted to an LT77 at one end and a 3.6 Diesel VM HR 692 HT at the other. Cheers in advance

Disco 2 rear calipers. How easy to change?

If you've clamped the flexibility on the rear before removing the caliper, you'll be fine to just bleed that corner. Brake fluid should be changed every couple of years because it's hydroscopic (excuse spelling maybe?) So wouldn't be a bad idea while you're messing with brakes anyway. Give the...
