    Hello and about me

My premium didn't change not using 10 years of no claims and havin 9 points to all points coming off and using the no claims. But no, I'm not 18 anymore...and haven't been for a while. Still feel like it though:p

    Hello and about me

£1800!! F**k! I get that younger drivers will have higher premiums because of risk, but surely prices like that just encourage certain people to drive uninsured and take the risk causing everyone more risk of losses. Suppose the other option is the named driver route on a parent or others...

    Hello and about me

Welcome to the forum! Again, not sure if they insure new drivers but I'd give Grove & Dean a call. I've been with them a few years now and no one can ever beat them on price. I pay £150 a year for fully comp with breakdown cover and that is after being honest with them about an engine...

My Mintex Brake discs are too thick..

Are you sure this isn't a specially machined disc? I work for a braking supplier and I've just checked all our lookup dataand can't see anything listed that doesn't have a minimum thickness of 22mm and a starting thickness of 24mm

I swear it's stronger than Eddie Hall and about the same age. They...

    Weird 300tdi oil smoke

Run the breather into a chassis rail. Cheap and easy rust protection

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

So I suppose in theory then I could just get a generic (good quality skf or something) bearing with a larger ID to match like a 200tdi bush? Fit the 56A shaft and fanny's me aunt, provided I can find the adaptor lol
  15. ChrisBduck

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

    On the input shaft
  16. ChrisBduck

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

Yes. May be wrong but, I thought earlier boxes presumably like fitted to VM range rivers were different to later ones by like 1 or 2 splines?
  17. ChrisBduck

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

Would that change the amount of end splines?
  18. ChrisBduck

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

I stupidly just brought a 54A suffix G RRC box with bell housing that was off a VM, only to realise when I picked it up that the bell on that is 300mm. I was kind of hoping I could get an adaptor and a short bell, throw them all together with the boxes at someone capable of rebuilding and end...

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

The trouble is the length of current bell housing (and the gaping hole at the top and bottom where casing has been modded to fit slave) and the 4CYl LT 77 has a different bolt pattern to the VM.

    V8 to 4cyl LT77 Adaptor ?

The current bell housing is 185mm and makes everything sit too far back by about 2" ish
