Stolen - Spare Wheel from rear of LR90xs

Fitted a U-shaped shackle through two holes drilled in the rear door. Mounted with thick washers on inside. Thick chain and padlock through this and the wheel. Another way ( a little bit more involved) is to buy a padlock with a removable shackle. Drill two holes in the door, the same distance...

    Cheap immitation safari snorkels

hey;re rubbish. Made from the same thin plastic as dustbins used to be. Not the tough thick ABS that mantec or safari ones are made from. You gets what you pays for!

    240 volt power inverter

For some electrical appliances, you need to check what type if inverter it is. Some appliances are very sensitive to modified Sine-Wave inverters, which genrally represent the cheaper end of the market. True Sine-Wave inverters are the best, but very expensive. For a jet wash, why dont you...

    Defenders in accidents....

Gives you a slightly smug feeling, knowing that the Defender is such a tough beast, as long as nobody else is injured...My missus took the front bumper of a car in work car park. Scratched my towball! She doesnt get to drive it now!!

    Defender 90 or 110 questions

Bog standard 110 is 2.035 metres tall, on standard tyres. You have to be careful how steep the ramps are in the car park, because they will increase the height of the vehicle momentarily. As already said, speed bumps can make the difference between just enough, and not enough space!

    Radiator Muff

before taking out the matrix or changing thermostat, try adjucting the levers on the heater box... My 110 td5 was freezing cold. It was because when you operate the lever inside the car ( hot/cold lever) it wasn't fully opening the flap inside the heater box. Only took a few minutes fiddling...

    Lorry battery

Most important thing when fitting a battery in a defender is colour. I'd recommend a red one and a yellow one, because the two colours really complement each other, and brighten up even the dullest of battery boxes...!

    Defenders in accidents....

If you hit a defneder side on, in the body panels, as you would with a normal car, the defenders occupants would be hurt. There arent any side impact protection bars. The Defenders height, however, means that most other cars hit em low down, causing little damage and little harm to the...

    never seen these windows before.

They aren't actually panoramic windows. They're simply sheets of glass cut to size, which are bonded onto the existing aluminium body panel, with a strong adhesive. The aluminium body panel just has its sliding window and frame removed. A load of ****e!

    tyre size, can I change?

I'll help you out, because i'm in a good mood! 245 is the width of the tyre's tread, in mm. 70 is the height of the sidewall, expressed as a percentage of the tyre's width ( ie, the tyre wall is not 70mm tall, it is 70% of 245, tall. In this case 171mm) 15 is the wheel diameter ( which is...

Heres another list. Its for a td6, but many parts are comon. Gives you some more ideas what to look for. Remember, buying a RR of that age, will start to cost you money. You may be lucky and not have to spend much, but its worth ensuring you have funds, or a good warranty, because when they...

I have a set of panels for a Series II Station wagon. These will fit onto any 110 station wagon, in place of the rear window panels. They'll obviously need spraying, but you'll end up with a "defender Utility" like this Google Image Result for...
