    Hi everyone I'm tidemark lol relatively new on ere and am looking to do a service on my FREELANDER td4 but don't want about taking undertray off so was wondering if anybody had the dimensions to cutting a hole to the sump plug cheers tidemark

    FREELANDER now sorted took it to another garage centre propshaft bearings that's all it was not gearbox like other mechanic suggested !!! Grrrrrrr relieved it was just that bloody mechanics lol thanks everyone who contacted me with suggestions to my dilemma cheers Mark

    Only when vehicle is moving with clutch in or out still makes the noise

    Driving straight cornering in gear and in neutral

    Yes same through all gears if sat in drivers seat it's not as noisy as if you where sat in passenger seat ?

    He did drain the oil and put new in but kept a sample to show me and point out that the oil has small filings flecks of silver in the oil ? Don't want to spend anymore on it as its already had clutch / discs/ calipers / and a viscous and propshaft

    No stays the same , you notice it more when driving slow but isn't as noticeable at higher speed due to road noise

    hi everyone I'm new on here and would like to ask for some help / advise , my FREELANDER 2006 td4 has started to make like a dry bearing noise but I've had the wheel bearings checked and they are OK , was told by the mechanic he thinks it's the gearbox bearings and informs me I will need it...
