Well spent ages messing with this, done all the things suggested, and still stuck in 4wd, all the rods are moving ok, is there any thing inside that would cause this problem as i am going to take gearbox out and have a look inside the t/box

Had another play this morning, took off tin cover for end of shafts and both shafts seem to be free, tried reversing to unlock as prior suggestions,still same. will have another bash 2morrow with Blackburn's advice

SpringDon i havn't drove it yet its one i am restoring, so only just got engine running to try the box today, but i will have a look tomorrow it sounds promising that it might just be corrosion

As above, this gearbox was a spare and been standing a while, just got everything set up on a series three i have been building up and find it's stuck in 4 wheel drive, any tips for this problem, or is it knackered ?

Just bought a series 2 with a transit bannana engine fitted, its got a milner conversion plate to landy box, sounds great not had chance to try it yet as needs throttle linkage, anybody got any veiws on thie engine?

ihave done 4 of the conversions and i find that a standard defender intermediate pipe and rear pipe with silencer fits perfect,paddocks do them and quite cheap
