Embarressed by my sender unit :-(

Oh I love my double cab, but it showed me up yesterday. The fuel guage is fine until there's only 1/4 tank left. Then it has a mind of its own. It dropped down overnight, but came back up on my way to work and the fuel light went out. But when I left work it died just outside the gate...

New Project. 1983 110 truck cab

It’s permanent 4 wheel drive with a 2.25 na engine. Is that a J series? Interior is caviar I think, what’s left of it.

New Project. 1983 110 truck cab

I'll need luck! Chassis is see through but maybe a rear half will do it. Aim is to have it mechanically spot on. Super solid painted chassis. 6 new tyres on freshly painted rims. All new painted out interior, dash and seats. Body and paint stays how it is. Looks its age gracefully

New Project. 1983 110 truck cab

After moving house and uping my commute to 90 miles the 2004 DC wasn't going to cut it as a daily so it had to go. But I still wanted a weekend workhorse that'll hopefully be tax and mot exempt in a couple of years. This turned up cheap needing a load of work so I'm kicking off this tread. Will...

    Rear spring pops out

Thanks for the quick responses. The ride is hard so I wonder if the springs are correct. But cones sound like an excellent idea. I’ll search them. I noticed also that the bump stops are missing from the chassis rails. It was a big kerb......

    Rear spring pops out

Twice now my rear spring has popped out from the upper mount and rubbed against the wheel when I’ve driven off road. Late week it was only a tall kerb! When I jack the back up the spring sits loose. I’d have thought it should need compressing to remove it. The car sits at the right height. Is...

    Disco transfer box in defender

I do a lot of motorway driving nowadays but still want to drive my landy. My transfer box has been noisy for ages and I have a higher ratio box I could use from a disco, but it has no diff lock. Is it something I could transfer from the old one?

    Double cab 2nd row mats?

I bought a new rubber mat for my 2004 double cab thinking it would be the same size as a 110 station wagon. Wrong. It’s about an inch narrower. Anyone know where I can get one?
