Doesn't sound right, it's not that cold in the UK! Warm the handle with warm water, then once it's free cover the internals with WD40 to force the water out and stop it refreezing.

What car? If it's a Classic Vogue SE the door locks are heated, so if you hold the handle out for 30 seconds it should defrost... :)

Kev - thank you so much, that's really helpful! Mine is a 1994 soft dash, but it can't be that different. Annoyingly the armrest/cubby box removal means removing the whole transmission tunnel, unlike on the earlier ones where the inner of the cubby box unscrews and lifts out - great design...

You might be thinking of the electrical nightmare that is the P38! Mine is a Classic, albeit a late model so does have several ECU's, but nowhere near as many as a P38 does!! We have chickens, so the eggs are nice and fresh! No pig though...

I'm surprised you got stuck - what wheels/tyres are on there? Sounds odd that the T/C didn't help you out - on that model year the T/C is on all 4 wheels, so should have transferred power over to the non-spinning side. Did you keep the throttle on or ease off? In that situation it is best to...

Sunroof and windows: with ignition in position II, open and close them fully, should clear the fault code. I'd be concerned about the overheating - should be able to idle even without the fan! Easy to test it - get a rolled up newspaper and at idle, stick in in the fan - if it stops the fan...

It was already cracked! I didn't take it all the way off in the end, I had to on my last RRC for something and it is one of the most tedious jobs ever, removing that front splitter!! So I released the bolts I needed and pulled it out the way to allow me to push them out enough to fit the...
