<bangs head on wall> Like a fool I ordered Disco 2 shocks front and rear to go on the Disco 2 axles.... fitted the rear springs and shocks just fine. Then found out today that the front shocks fitted are Defender specification, with a single nut top and bottom to hold them in place. Whoopsie...

Question #1 Whilst un-seizing one of the brake calipers I noticed that the locator screw ( the m8 that holds the disc to the hub ) was missing, infact upon checking, _none_ of the discs had them. :-( Are they important??

@marjon They're 5 spoke 16x7 Challengers: And I'm getting the original tyres moved from the 16x8 P38 alloys. I've picked up a spare wheel and tyre from Beartown Tyres (£125 for rim + 205/16 tyre + fitting ) : https://beartowntyres.com/products Apparently they now own the moulds for my 20...

Rear springs and shocks in place... But rear wheels are out at the shop having new rims, so need to do a wheel shuffle in the morning to get the fronts fitted.

Hummmm...... Body on stands, wheels off. But there's not enough clearance to get the top shock bolts out. Needing to a bit of body modification: Success! Both shocks out and the brake lines not at full extension. :D Comparison of new springs from Tomcat Motorsports and the old ones from...

Beartown Tyres have their XP tyres in 205x16, good for 7inch wide rims.... Or they also do a skinny 600x16 "Classic" tyre, roughly 165x16. https://beartowntyres.com/products

Enyone Convercent with fitting an X brake to a series 2a gearbox

Sorry I was very wrong. Those L shapes and bolts are for the push-rod, not cable stops. Found this On here: https://foundry4x4.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&manufacturer_id=14&product_id=70 Of use??

Def sounds like the L's are cable stops, does the documentation say how to fit the cable??

Not much time spare today so only got to take the OS door to pieces. I did have to resort to grinding off a couple of old bolts, by the handles do look like a fairly simple fit. Only need to lop off the lock barrel and a small bit of the casement. :-) New handles have 6 securing bolts rather...

Dazed and Confused about 2inch lift kits

So.... I snagged a set of +2inch brake hoses at the Landy meet in Congleton last Sunday, I've ordered a set of +2inch Defender light duty springs and 4 +2inch Disco2 shocks. Will write up the fitting in my Project thread. Thanks for the information. :)

    wheel/tyre help!

Tyersizecalculator.com says this for 16x8: Minimum tyre width 215 Ideal tyre width 225 or 235 Maximum tyre width 245 The 85 bit of your 235/85/16 refers to the sidewall of the tyre being 85% of the width, so those would be roughly 200mm giving ( 16inch rim + 200mm sidewall + 200mm sidewall )...

To be honest I've not had time to look in the Hayne's... But that sounds about right. On the Milner there's an electrically connected sensor ( temp or pressure ) and one with a very fine copper pipe - I'll bet the pipe is a 'mechanical' pressure.
