    bite the bullet time

Ozzyboy, My local Indy landrover garage in Cumbria uses a guy in Newcastle for fixing gearboxes. I'll give them a ring in the morning and see if I can get his name and a tel no. for you, if you want.

First Fundamental Orifice Twitch of the Year.....

It would have to be one hell of a throw to knock 'em out, otherwise you'll just make them even more angry!!

First Fundamental Orifice Twitch of the Year.....

If you're going to Scotlandia, just take a few cases of Irn Bru WKD with ya. Chuck a few bottles out the Rangie as you drive past and it'll distract them long enough to get away!!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Just been down to Brum and back for the NEC Bike show, the Rangie even got to drive past Land Rover Gate 3 (her birth place!!). Only used 3/4 of a tank for a 490 mile round trip. so not bad at all. My mates down there are also dead jealous that I've got a RR Vogue!! AHH, Happy Days....just...

    Stuttering at high revs!

According to the LandRover manuals, engine cut out starts at 4000rpm, with cut out limit at 4800rpm. Could be that you're overrevving the engine and causing cut out, which would feel like a stutter. Age and mileage of the engine can cause loss of power, rev range, etc.

Autobox - Panick measure or preventative maintenance ?

That may be true 2.0 Hippo, I'm not saying drive the motor like you're an old granny, just that a big, heavy motor with a 'fragile' gearbox should not be driven like some 'Boom Bass Bass Head' (at least not all of the time!). If I want to burn people off, I just swap my RR for (what has now...

Autobox - Panick measure or preventative maintenance ?

+1 My 54 reg TD6 Vogue is on 153k miles, just had the gearbox oil and filter done...the box has had work done on it in the past, as the sump plug has been obviously undone, but don't know if it's been reconditioned or not. The old oil was a bit brown, but absolutely clear of debris and (most...

    gearbox swap to v8td box

First problem, TD6 gearbox has five gears...TDV8 box has more than five gears....between six and eight depending on the year. Need I say more?

    L322 or not ?

Yep, gotta admit your girl does look good with the upgrade! But even if you leave the L322 untouched, she still looks a million dollar car. And when you're getting envious looks from other people who aren't in the know...it certainly brings a smile to your face!!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Soz, should have put the quote on the previous post...it was meant for 2.0 Hippo!!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That's a bit of a bummer...I seem to remember you mentioned in a previous post that you fitted an aftermarket Sat Nav unit. Could that have anything to do with the error, as on my vogue, you have the ability to set the heater timer using the sat nav touch screen (i.e. a built-in function)...

    L322 or not ?

That's the thing with an L322, even for an 02 model you can put a private plate on it and it looks modern, and stylish!! Since I've got mine, I've seen the envious looks from other drivers and you certainly get a good feeling from driving a Range Rover!! There's no feeling comes close!!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Mind you, I'm in some way thankful that it didn't have the T90 fob, as it's supposed to be huge and I don't have room in my pockets for another big remote. The T91 is small and handy.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Yes, mine already had the receiver fitted, just didn't have the T90 fob. Got a Landrover T91 fob off fleabay and just followed the threads about pairing. There's a bit of an art to doing the pairing, I've found. The best way is to remove the battery from the T91 fob (oh, and also check...
