    Aye, ive seen it done to a few of em, they have permanent 4wd and cv joints. A chap who lives up the road ere has two, both have 'for sale' signs in em, did ask but he wants too much for em.

    got heaps driving around NZ, infact many more stage ones than swb series, i think the New zealand army sold them off recently, and thus they have 24 volt electrickery which is hard to get spares.

    sounds like the oil is thick from your cold weather. Try a different grade of oil? also check your engine earth strap is still connected, could just be a bad earth?

    Did'nt minis have a simmilar looking/sounding thing?, a kind of pressure reducer in the rear brake lines, think it was to stop the rear wheels locking up under heavy braking, could be something like that?

    Im thinking now your temp gauge sender is faulty....test this with a thermometer in the radiator header tank...it could well be lying to you, and not overheating at all!. As for the hesitant revving, what carb have you got and whats it tuned up like?

    Right!, sorted it this weekend... the bearings in the transfer box are a-ok, but the detent spring was weak, so i put a spacer inbetween the brass cap and the spring...job done!, Thanks for your help again!.

    Thanks, ill go and have a check at transferbox, you could be right as a couple of weeks ago the output flage nut managed to come loose....even though its castelated nut with a split pin. ill let you know the outcome later.

    Well, my diff didnt explode this weekend...and i really gave it some work!. I have however had a problem with the transfer lever popping out and going into neutral, but only on a descent or deceleration...Dentent spring or another problem? Anyone had this problem? Cheers.
