Sorry about that. Don't post after taking meds.. The bulkhead is the problem not the hinges. It's getting access to it that puzzles me.

Bonnet hinges have been eaten by tin worms. Is it a really big job to rectify? What's easiest/ best way to tackle it?

Mine failed on the seat belt anchor points too. I'd started cleaning up a bubble and ended up with much bigger hole than you had. Once started and looking for good metal it's surprising how much I ended up cutting back. Funnily enough my n/s wheel bearing needs tightening too. Is it an easy job?

Aldi/Lidl do some good stuff. Baufix it's called; does stone chip and others. £2.99 can.

Only thing that should make that much difference would be wheel/tyre size.
