    coolant dilemma, its a mystery.

Last week I lost all hot air from the heaters so thought it must have ran out of coolant but pulling out a busy junction with higher revs made the air turn hot and normal again with no loss of coolant. Searching the forum it's looking more like the head gasket could be failing or failed and...

    coolant dilemma, its a mystery.

I've not checked that pan of boiling water is next, but if the thermastat was broken would that effect fluid getting through the heater matrix. Also just noticed water dripping from the bad join where my decat is and condensation in exhaust fumes. Looking more like a head gasket problem but...

    coolant dilemma, its a mystery.

Well after an afternoon of problem solving and trying to figure out why my engine was overheating iv came to the conclusion that I have no idea where the problem is coming from. There was plenty coolant in the car when it started to overheat and the heaters being ice cold lead me to believe it...

    What size are my nuts!

Ah so the nuts on both ends of the prop are the same? Realised they must be imperial but as they crumbled at the sight of a spanner coming near them it made it difficult to be sure, I should be able to re use the nuts from the diff end as they were near new looking but bolt heads hat been well...

    Best say hello

Boot floor has already been patched but not by much. Chassis is nice and solid so looking at undersealing it in the next few weeks. Anyone got any recomendations? Don't want something that will dry hard as it may chip or something like waxoil that will always be a bit tacky if I'm right in...

    Best say hello

Well got myself a disco1 300tdi last week, for its year it seams near enough solid. Only bit of rust I could find was behind the battery housing so not all bad. Loving every minute of driving it so far.

Before that...
