T Reg 1999 .what I have noticed is glow plug light stopping on longer and taking a bit longer to start again and after the fan stops the idle goes up for about 19 seconds and the fan kicks in again .After about 10 minutes the fan stops and goes back to normal.After 3 hours of the engine cooling...

Fans don't come on when hot

What else could it be if all settings are off

Afternoon guys ,which switch controls the radiator fans ? ,on cold start up the fans kick for a period then switch off .

I've put some clips on and noticed the ARB bushes need changing,checked the links and one had snapped ,so bushes done and links tomorrow.

At 48 ,I'm ok to tow ,thanks for the info ,managed to buy a caravan which is light and know definitely that the freelander will tow .

Thanks for that ,I thought it was just the bushes worn .

Lol ,there's no plastic clamps on this ,I can see clamps and bushes either end of the straight length but no plastic clamps ,I should say its a 1999 xedi

Been having banging when turning sharp bends ,so I have checked it and the actual bar moves from side to side ,surely that's not meant to be ,not like the ARB's I've come across .

Hi guys ,can I tow a caravan with a weight of 1444kgs with my 1999 xedi ?

I'm waiting for a test meter to arrive so I can test them properly ,sure I read that someone had bought new ones and they glow up nicely ,prompting me to test mine and ask the question .

Did a test yesterday with glowplugs and pre heat ,wired glowplugs direct to the battery ,it took just over 10 seconds for the tip to glow slightly on all .Glowplug dash light illuminates for just over 4 seconds .Which one is knackered ?
