Still struggling to understand if it only fits one way why it is now out of alignment? Question: Without drop arm on could you turn steering wheel and spline just spins around?

Changed the steering drop arm today. New one on and now the steering wheel is 45 degree out of alignment. I thought they would only go on one way?! No way its coming off again so guess I just reposition steering wheel??

Is a right PIA! Have an MOT advisory. Its a new ball joint kit from Britpart and the larger retaining clip for the dust cover is a coil and terrible to get into place! Any tips how to get it on or info as to who does a kit with a more simple retaining clip

Hi all As per my last thread did a clean of the red plug going into ECU following oil ingress, after changing injector loom successfully. Obviously jiggled wires and plugs around in doing so. All fine for about 30 miles then on Saturday had the no engine management light/glow plug light issue...

Ok Advised it may be sticking turbo actuator. Took Turbo heat shield off (Drilled out 4 rivets and undid 2 nuts) and uncoupled actuator lever off the "butterfly". Moved very freely. Re-assembled and Riveted cover back on. Next job took off rocker cover and changed injector loom...

TD5. Last week was first week was first time I saw this light come on for about 2 seconds. Drove 12 miles today and it came on again 3 times. Possible slight hesitancy in revs when it happens. Any ideas or how do I get it diagnosed?

Having now read up on this I realise I cant adjust play in front wheel bearings like the old tdi defender as there is no adjusting nut and there is instead a spacer! I have read elsewhere that you can get rid of the spacer in between the bearings and go back to an adjusting nut/locking...

Not had a TD5 before so was a bit shocked to see the state of the rear fuel filter mounted on offside chassis. Looks like the head has corroded away and that the two bolts will be hard to budge which hold it on. Any suggestions and what part number do I need please?

Need to replace another one, the roll bar with springs keeps slipping out of the housing where it actuates the release. Crappy design but then it is Britpart. Any other makes available??

Is there any solution for replacing the yellow clip mountings on a door card. The bit that the door clip slides onto has broken and they appear to be moulded to the door card, as in picture. Anyone tried glueing the black clip direct onto these, say with araldite?
