Hi Guys - question about FL1 shock absorbers............ I always understood that when depressing the suspension of a car the body should rise, peak, drop then be stable - ie one bounce. When i stop my Td4 kind of sharpish there are at least 2 or 3 bounces before the front suspension comes...

Clacking as in pinking (diesel knock) type noise ??? If so it does sound like an injection problem - injectors - pump ?????

280 bar at 800 rpm sounds OK can you read the pressure at cranking speed ? should be around this level too i think

The key point is being able to fix it yourself - if youre no good with a spanner than a freelander (and other "old" cars) will ruin you..............

I have repaired several sets of alloys. remove all the loose stuff and road dirt - i used a nylon brush on the end of the drill to start with then wet and dry - start roughish (180) and get smoother (600) you can then start to prime and discover all the small imperfections...............and...
