If it were me I would be avoiding that like the plague and finding an MY06 petrol or MY07 Tdv8 for not much more money. Miles better machine with a 6 speed gearbox.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was ECU failure but need to check with a new genuine sensor first, I found aftermarket didnt work properly. What is the exact code? It wont just report that its a certain sensor, it will report what is actually wrong (short to another being a favorite) or high/low...

Apparently the 2.5l variant was 121bhp which if memory serves is 10bhp more than the 200tdi. I think the 2.4 VM was 108bhp or something like that. Either way I would suspect the performance to be similar to the 200tdi!
