    110 fuel tank dimensions

0ops, posting late at night. Forgot to finish my post. Spoke to mechanic at local LR dealership. They always offer 2 options, drop tank at £££ or hole in floor at ££. He reckons 3/4 go for hole in floor. He can't understand why LR never did it in defender, not as if pumps don't fail, when they...

    110 fuel tank dimensions

Well, That's 3 opinions, well 2ish. However let me put forward my case. Disagree, it's a sh*t job. Have you done one? My Defender spent 15 ýears by the coast in north west Scotland living outside and covering between 1270 miles and 4359 miles per year to average 2802 miles per year. Needless...

    Leaking balls

Went back in to garage yesterday to speak to guy who actually did the job. Appears there were sheared bolts on both sides and appears to have been welded to either hide that this had been done or to con me. Latter is unlikely as was bought from the emergency services who I'd expect to have it...

    Leaking balls

An update to my original post. Got all the gear, Britpart balls, Timken bearings, Corteco seals, everything, even new big nut socket. Had it all for few weeks now but no free time as working flat out 12 hour days, yes, I know there are 12 left but its my daily driver/workhorse so need it all...

    Td5 a/c dash removal

Sorry, not a Scooby. My a/c is still the two flaps at the front.:D. As an ex farmer myself (I'm assuming your name reflects your occupation) if all else fails I would suggest the "get a bigger hammer" approach.

    Hand throttle for td5

Thanks @kevstar but that's a bit high tech for me. Only needing to set a steady speed for using a boom sprayer. Pita at moment. Try keeping an even touch on the throttle while driving across a field or up a track with a 400 litre tank sloshing about at the rear.

    Hand throttle for td5

Now then, never thought of that one. Could be a good solution. Thanks.

    Hand throttle for td5

From memory these seemed to be a standard item in days gone by, not now though sadly. Anyone know if you can still get a hand throttle to fit a td5? Question 2, how do you fit it and how easy is it to do?

    Nas Steps replacement Chequred plate

Stick to the rubber. I had chequer plate on my old 90. Bloody lethal when wet or muddy, damn sore when your shin or even your nuts make contact as you slide gracefully to the ground.:eek:

    Timken Bearings

James, it was the full kit I was after at £15 + vat. Heard of Island before (think got stuff from them in past. Am I just being paranoid about them being such a reasonable price? https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Timken+wheel+bearing+kit&x=36&y=18

    Timken Bearings

Anyone any idea how much I should be paying for a Timken wheel bearing kit. (changing all 4). In general prices seem to range from £27 to £45ish but see one kit at £18. Heard of suppliers (4x4 company) do I risk it?
