    Starting issue. Chugs and dies?

no **** blame the engineers who designed the cylinder head so the questions about number 5 cylinder does this warm as quick on cold starts and why it doesnt need a glow plug ? and length of time they are are on for to get the engine up to operating temps (emissions )

    Starting issue. Chugs and dies?

its funny because the work shop Manuel doesn't explain why they installed 4 glow plugs on a 5 cylinder engine ? am i missing something and number 5 piston is redundant on start up and warm up periods ? what ever happened to the good old heating element inside the air intake found on some larger...

    Starting issue. Chugs and dies?

mine does this also even on a hot day 40 degrees and is intermittent ever since i ran i injector cleaner through the system so i can rule out glow plugs ..up to now i have have closed in on the injectors as i suspect have one leaking number 3 and depends when the engine comes to rest...

    centrifugal filter housing

it funny because i service my own for many years i only give a slight nip on a short handle using 3/8 drive ratchet and then i need a 1/2 inch drive to remove the sump plug ? we have two different types metal reacting to different temps and this relates to distortion using a knuckle bar on an...

    centrifugal filter housing

with out the correct anti seize its normal for alloy threads to pick up very easy all it takes is some dirt or corrosion for a thread to pick up and strip on removal

    centrifugal filter housing

not hard to remove ...you will one day need to remove it for an oil cooler reason .... its only 4 bolts that holds the air con compressor and move this to one side you will see the bigger picture and then realise how easy its to remove the oil spinner some people forget this is a serviceable...

    Coolant leak help!!!!

but i wanst to for from the mark about a water pump destruction and who ever fitted the belt should of noticed this from the beginning as it normal practice to spin pulleys and listen for any abnormal noises as well as play before fitting a new belt

    Coolant leak help!!!!

wrong size belts installed or both belts have been mixed up looks like some one may of possibly changed the 10 by 605 belt to a shorter belt by passing the water pump while the other pulley drives an auxiliary looking at one of the belts it looks new the water leak should not to be to hard...

About to give up... cannot get engine running..

i understand you dont have any petrol in your system but didnt you say Here in cold north we sometimes add petrol to diesel to run them in extreme cold temperatures if winter diesel is not available and they run fine with a few litres of petrol per tank. petrol may stop diesel from gelling up...

About to give up... cannot get engine running..

i would have to disagree running petrol mixed with diesel ? the diesel is also a lubrication for injection components adding in petrol good luck seriusly if the temps are that cold to add in petrol to diesel to thin it out ......what about the the engine oil being to thick for the hydraulic...
