I'm hoping to source a 200Tdi and squeeze it in, but am in no rush to do so, there's enough to be doing to try and get the chassis back to usable condition. I'll just plod along and keep on the lookout for a 'handy' engine.....

The 'Good Bits' are that it's almost all there, nothing had been robbed from it over the years. The 'Bad Bits' are the usual stuff, the front and back crossmembers are rotted beyond repair. The two main chassis rails are in surprisingly good order. The two front outriggers are scrap. Footwells...

It's an Irish registered Series and came with the original Brown Tax Book.....

Got myself a 1979 Series 88". Most of the parts seem to be there, bar the.....engine!

The floor is held down by the sides so there is a lot of ripping to get underneath, just as well, I could unleash a hornet's nest.....

Cleaned up a bit..... Satin black Hammerite spray..... Little self tappers are provided but my old one had been pop riveted and the holes were too big so I popped the new one too.....

Never too late I always say! Picked up my 'Threshold' from Post Office this morning and had it fitted by the afternoon. I ordered the one from YRM, with a rubber seal to go along with it, £17 + £9..... The state of the old one..... Nothing's ever simple with a Land Rover, had to trim the ply...

I went and got a 'pocket' from a breakers, came from an '02 Opel, cost £2. Moved my radio etc and am now happy with the extra little bit of 'storage'.....

Would a pop rivet blank them, and just get a bit of the body colour to paint them. Or some sort of of plastic rivet?

Don't know about the moulding/clips but you could have sprayed the metal one Satin Black.....
