Shouldn't there be some lock tab type double ended washers on the bolts on the back plate?

    are these the right parts??????

Turns out I don't need any of that, they only need the felt washer a penny washer and the nut and split pin, phoned Paddocks they were very helpful.

    are these the right parts??????

I realise that with the nut but if you look at the pictures you can see the new shiny nut is considerably bigger than the old one next to it, which made me wonder if Paddocks sent me all of the items over sized

    are these the right parts??????

Sorry for not reading your post properly oxides (hope I don't do that on my exam on Monday!) I see you don't have any O-ring, I think this is probably what mine should be like.

    are these the right parts??????

Every thing about my axles so far has been of the early type for a series 3, does your O-ring fill the groove on the drive flange completely or does it sit round the shaft? And how thick (roughly) is your washer?

    Series 3 Chassis repair panels

How important are the axle straps? Before I stripped my Landy mine where no where to be seen and it never seemed to cause any problems, what would happen if they weren't fitted?

    Help rebuilding front axle

Thanks for the advice, hopefully I will manage to spend a bit of time on it tomorrow and I will work through it step by step. It's a great feeling when your managing to get everything thing together for yourself but always worried I will miss something important!

    Help rebuilding front axle

No I have only 1, I have copied that diagram exactly, I am wondering if the series 3 doesn't need it? It doesn't look like it really needs it. Perhaps the diagram is for the 2A?

    Help rebuilding front axle

I am in the process of rebuilding the front axle fitting all bearings etc went ok and they all seem to spin freely and look as they should, however when i try to refit the new swivel housing and half shaft into the axle the half shaft doesn't seem to want to slide far enough in, i followed the...

    Yet another 2a rebuild thread

in some of your first pictures back in 2013 i noticed you used Brit part shock absorbers, are they ok quality wise? I will be needing (hopefully) to order all my new suspension items in a week or so and was wondering about them as they are £20 cheaper each than any other.

    Series 3 Rear tub repairs

My rear floor only has one small hole in the middle I was thinking of cutting out a new floor from chequar plate and riveting it over the old floor (I thought the chequered plate would help the dogs get a grip in the back) is there any reason why I shouldn't leave the old floor in place under...
