I only get to drive my freelander at the weekends and first trip out the car is always very sluggish. If I drive it the next day it is fine, does it have some sort of learning ECU ? Merry Christmas all.

Or you could do what I did. I bought a Tom Tom start 500. I then removed the clock and its surround and stuck the Tom Tom in the clock recess using a couple of bits of butyl tape, I fed the power lead back through the clock hole to the centre console to pick up power off the cigarette lighter...

I have fitted the front one. They are considerably stiffer than the originals and I thought fitting all three might put more load on the centre bearings. Done about three months now, so far so good.

The sport does indeed have lower stiffer suspension and the handling is quite good really. When I was buying I was originally after a manual but after driving both I found the auto was a much more pleasant driving experience.

I'm still relatively new to Freelander ownership, I drove both when purchasing and opted for the auto. Its only had one offroad experience so far and it performed very well.
