I have been googling and it seems that if I take the drain plug out of the sediment thing it is probably going to snap. The other way is to take the whole thing off of the top but then I need to get replacement o rings. Does anyone know where I can get these O rings from??

Yes it is the TDI engine. i took the air filter out and ran the engine (i know this is not ideal) and it was spluttery. i don't know if this changes your answer?? Thanks

i was driving my 1996 land rover discovery through a shallow ford last night and about an hour later the car started cutting out whilst i was driving home. i took the air filter out and it was covered in water!!! what should i do?? will it dry out or is it more serious?? HELP!! just bought...
