    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

so it went in today to be pressure tested, they pressurised the system and the damn thing didn't leak from anywhere and no drop in pressure. until they fired it up, looks like the water pump is also on it's way out so not as bad as i expected, no leaks from the back so that's all good news to...

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

yes i did have one on, but mine was the kit with sandwich plates and cutting the old stat out of the body great mod, but mine had become problematic 99% sure it's where my leak was, so i opted for a standard stat as i need to use the car the weekend, but ended up with a faulty one, still it'll...

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

I’ve been out and checked it with my multimeter and it appears the connector on the thermostat is shorted direct to earth on the negative side so it looks like I need to get in contact with my local indie and get a replacement stat, otherwise it’s going to be stuck open until the coil burns out.

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

in fact scrub that it seems i have a fault with the cooling map wire car goes to 105 with it disconnected, but it stays activated permanantly when plugged in, but thats a job for another day!

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

right so went out this morning and low & behold the piece of cardboard i left under the front end had water on it, great seems the car leaks more so when it's cold so i looked from above to see the pulleys wet right under the thermostat, so i pulled it apart had a look at the tubes into the...

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

there is also a weep hole in the front timing cover behind the water pump, which means the whole cover has to come off to fix it, luckilly it's not that, it's also possible it could be from th lower temp thermostat kit i have fitted at the mo, going to investigate a bit more today and see if...

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

so it's getting wierd, car is booked in for a pressure test on tuesday, it seems i have 2 leaks at the front of the engine, one seems to be fairly central running down the front of the engine block, so best guess is water pump or thermostat gasket, (my guess is thermostat gasket) as there is no...

cool cheers fella, i can focus in that area and round those dreded pipes , strangely i'd rather it be valley pan than heater matrix lol

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

yes that is possible, heater matrix was my other thought but got no coolant smell in the car, and the carpets are dry

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

someone else mentioned head gasket before, but no evidence of it, car runs fine no white smoke and no gunk in the oil, i think the rear puddle is definately aircon,. however it's always used a bit of water and i noticed in the service history suspected valley pan leak but no evidence of it being...

    L322 4.4v8 m62 coolant leak

ok so i find myself with a coolant leak again, the car has always used a bit of coolant but recently it has got worse, i've checked the usual suspects, water pump, thermostat, radiator, valley pan (with an endoscope) & rear of engine and there are no obvious leaks. i did have a couple of puddles...

    L322 air suspension woes

ah right not seen that, could explain the change in sensor, although my headlight levelling is working (at the moment) i guess the headlights are just adjusted to the correct level after the magic box has been disconnected

    L322 air suspension woes

it's never thrown the short circuit message before so i may just get it check out/replaced. bit concerned though the replacement is a 'modified' 2010 height sensor that takes the 6 pin plug but only uses 3 wires, that would throw headlight levelling faults and render the headlight levelling useless

    L322 air suspension woes

just a quicky been having issues with the car for a while now and never got to the bottom of the fault, so it keeps throwing an articulation validity fault, all the height sensors have seemed to be ok and voltages work as they should. anyhow it threw the air suspension inactive message again...

Range Rover L322 TD6 Creaking Rear

most likely upper and lower hub bushes, absolute pig to change if they have been in a long time as they tend to seize in, meaning the whole rear knuckle has to come off to use a press on them. usually that also leads to new handbrake cables as they also seize into the knuckle.

    L322 articulation validity sporadic fault

as above had 2 days with no faults since checking the was ecu on the weekend, anyway popped up this morning, cleared it and checked voltages to height sensors using hawkeye so i'm hoping someone can shed some light on these. LF voltage drops as car raises and increases as car drops height RF...

L322 finally fixed it i thunk!

yes i now have a drivers door that won't open from inside or outside handles so need to try and get that sorted in the morn, it's strange fitted a new door latch as well it was working fine till i locked it and left the car a few hours now it won't come out of dead lock.

L322 finally fixed it i thunk!

so had an air suspension issue that's been a right nightmare articulation validity sporadic fault, which also leads to abs no message from ride height code, all height sensors seem to be ok on checking reading going up & down. so today i decided to bite the bullet and check the wiring &...

    L322 suspension calibration

hi guys just a quick one, i've just had suspension bushes replaced on the rear and have noticed my suspension was out of level, anyway i connected the allcomms and did the baseline setting (from wheel centre) 493mm front 483mm rear (taken from a post on fullfatrr) anyway i noticed after...
