I had windscreen cover so paid the excess of £90. I think the screen retailed for about £130 I think from Pilkinton. Paddocks want £125 ish for the loom. I'll have a go at doing my own I think. And positive on drivers:)

Hi guys, So driving up to Manchester from Bristol this afternoon and my 5th gear an almighty clunk and rattling grinding sound of metal crushing metal is no more. 4th is my new 5th. Anyone know a cost effective efficient way to rectify this. I know Ashcroft would probably be first choice. Thanks

Just had a heated windscreen fitted into my 200tdi 110. Is it possible to use a spotlight loom or piggy back off the rear heated windscreen so that I do not have to spend £120ish on an official windscreen loom? Cheers

On the bottom of the steering box there is a large nut that has been secured by a folded flap of metal flush up against 1 side if the nut. You need to unfold the piece of metal and tighten that nut up then refold the securing flap. Sorry a bit vague but my knowledge is pretty limited.

Anyone fitted a heated wind screen in a 200tdi Defender? I have a '93' 110 and have a heated screen coming on Tuesday compliments of my insurance company due to the old standard screen getting a severe stone chip. I know I'll have to buy a wiring kit separately, but where I'm a little unsure is...

I tried uploading a photo. But the motor had water inside the coil compartment. This has lead to a lot of rust corrosion. Don't know it its save able bit will dry it and see.

My rear wiper hasn't worked since I got my Landy, and from the looks of the wiper blade it hasn't worked for a while. I need to establish if the motor is faulty or a wire somewhere inbetween. Where do I start?

Cheers all, it ended up being water in the wiper relay, just enough to dry out when the Landy was parked and it would slosh around to re-wet and subsequently short everything when I was on the move. Great feeling to get this sorted in time for another trip down the country!:D

Do you mean where the loom comes out of the Chassis? I'd say you hit the nail on the head with the chaffing, as I've already identified 2 chaffing issues.

I did pull the shroud off, the only thing I could see was that the headlight flasher connection had come unplugged. what else should I be looking for?
