The other thing worth looking at is the connections where the vapouriser has been spliced in depending where they are - and usually by the flow and return to the heater matrix if the wrong size pipe is used you can get an airlock in the heater matrix so make sure there is no air in the system

or get a second hand lock mechanism off Emmots or similar for a few quid and have it working properly ;)

I had a similar problem and jammed a large flathead between the belt and pulley but I was replacing the belt as well worked for me good luck

+1 on side glass the tailgate is a simple enough job the connectors are up inside to separate the loom and be sure to refit the grommet

The micro switches are in the bottom of the door lock actuator you can replace them but not sure where they can be bought from I replaced the whole thing

+1 I did the same it is the only real fix

I fibreglassed mine back together

It could be variable voltage at the clutch it works from my memory on magnetic flux as it wears the gap between the disc and the pulley gets bigger and there is a fix of additional wiring and a relay or take it to bits and shim it

At least you know whats wrong and they are all doable just a bit of a pain both down at once I was in the same boat a few months ago then knuckled down and got the v8 back on the road and it was all worth it but I was very close to turning them into bean cans hope it works for you good luck
