4.6 GEMS is it worth me buying a Nanocom now

No Idea who fitted it, just know it seems to work fine. But after I rebuilt the engine I noticed (after battery had been disconnected for a few months) it didn't run to well on gas. Connected the BIgas software and checked the settings, all seemed OK, but Lambdas where not registering a value...

4.6 GEMS is it worth me buying a Nanocom now

Hi All, I have managed to accumulate a few faults now on the RR that might warrant buying a Nanocom. ABS Relay went and now I can't find any problems now replaced but the lights flash when applying the brakes for a second? I believe my Lambdas are not reading? Bigas lpg software doesn't...

p38 brakes just failed, poo nearly came out.

Right Thanks, I will change the relay and see where that gets me. Do you know where the best place to get one is? Preferably quick? I think the pressure switch must be still working, because it did switch of the last time I checked it. I must admit, I am near my overdraft limit at the...

p38 brakes just failed, poo nearly came out.

Right, pulled the relay apart, definitely the offending item. The pump took about, 30 45 seconds i reckon. the level in the brake fluid reservoir is normal with engine off. What do you think? replace the relay and try it? This must have been sticking and then releasing when hot cold...

p38 brakes just failed, poo nearly came out.

aerofabrique, just pulled the relay and gave it a sniff, doesn't seam burned. Got a new fuse box just before I bought it. Turned the ignition on and the pump, a bit noisy with bonnet open, pumped up in about 20 seconds then cut off. Brake pedal hard but lights still on. Tc went out but when I...

p38 brakes just failed, poo nearly came out.

I have just nearly wiped out a corsa that stuck its nose out of a junction on the way home from work. Stopped at shop and noticed a the hydraulic brake pump was still running, a bit quieter than usual and at the same pitch. Went the shop, got back in and drove off, tested brakes and noise...

Ok rekon its sorted. Used a 7mm I'd by 1.5 mm o ring. Cleaned pipe with some fine emery and wrapped ptfe around the seal. Seams to have done the trick.

How to seal the dipstick tube

Rave says seal it with something. Can't think what it is now. No o ring fits on the 4.6 does it.

How to seal the dipstick tube

What method have you used to seal the dipstick tube. Tried ptfe tape and loctite black silicon. What do you use. Just rebuilt the engine and its the only oil leak, help its diving me mad.

Power steering pump to box pump seal v8

Yep, I have decided that pipes must be slightly different at the end. As usual found the cheapest replacements I could. New o-ring and wrapped ptfe tape around the oring and the pipe end. Don't want to speak to soon, but its ok at the moment. Not good though when you need to do these things...

Power steering pump to box pump seal v8

Just thought I would ask if anybody else has had a problem with sealing this dam pipe. First o-ring I got with the hose I eased in quite carefully then carefully wound the backing nut into the pump to hold it in. This started weaping after after using it once, very slightly. Took it out...

Webasto heater plumb in location to coolant

OK, revisiting this one since I seem to have finished all the other problems for now, I have been weighing up putting it on the right of the engine bay but this means it will be too near the manifolds for my liking, space down there is limited. anyone know if you can get a small windscreen...

    Overheating still..

When my block was cracked the coolant still had a bit of pressure in the morning and when up to temp it would blow coolant out of the expansion tank if reved for a bit over 3k. Mine also had a uneaven vibration high up the revs like it was missing on a cylinder or something. Just keep an eye...

    Overheating still..

If you have a look at my posts cracked block diagnosis, photos of cylinders and gaskets you would generally pick it up visually (I could in my case). Mine had similar symptoms as yours. Ran ok but boot it and the combustion gas built up in the top hose when hot, water used to slowly dissapear...
