Well iv'e had the chassis for a year nearly now so at Xmas i decided it was time to start the rebuild. I was oping to have it all done buy now but have been suffering with back problems so things have gone a lot slower than i wanted.Anyways here's some pics of the progress so far...
Yes they should fit as yours is a 93 same as mine so should have the 24 spline axles and discs on the rear. without googling it i think they are from chassis number LA930
You need the other type bonnet prop,I had the same problem.i was lucky and had all the brackets on my bonnet so it was just a case of making the prop, some defenders don't have the brackets though.
Yes it is stable as you still use the bracket on the other side of the header tank.Yes it is a second servo for the clutch and i made a bracket to mount it to the bulkhead so it does't move.
I think you will find that it is aimed at you drewster. As you can see there is a certain person on this trip and i think i can speak for everybody in saying that we don't want any bad feeling awkwardness or any other sort of hassle on the trip.I think we have had enough of that over the last few...
Sue has done it before David but it will be my first time.Looking forward to it but like you say having seeing the videos i think it is more just to tick it of the list than the challenge.
I personally wouldn't do Frickley again, not a bad site but too many people who just turn up with clapped out motors and don't care who or what they hit. Also the mud will eat your car as the site is based around old coal mine and slag heaps.
Yep i'd go with a silicon sealant as above tiger seal is more used for bonding. If like me you have to take the snorkel pipe of to change the air filter tiger seal would make it a bitch of a job.
