    Late disco 2 or early 3, is there a thread already comparing the pros and cons? loved me previous disco2, had it for nearly 21 years from (nearly) new without any mechanical problems and there’s a low mileage one available (expensive though) Or should I move with the times and go for the 3?

    Wish I had thought to ask first, have a beautiful 2001 P38 same colour as the one you were looking at, got it at a genuine 63 K it has done 6 k with me. It developed a small leak couldn’t find it for love nor money, turns out the piston sleeves are knackered now I’m looking at 4 k for repairs.

    From what I can see, it looks like you have to take the pump off to check the output but that will have to wait until tomorrow. Any ideas on the best place to order a replacement pump? As it look to be the direction I’m heading.

    Have done, their is what I would describe as gentle suction just discernible however when I turned the engine off their was a I can only describe as ‘gasping noises’ coming from the unit....is this normal?

    Sorry to poke me nose in, but have been following this thread in the hope of finding an answer to my eas problem Just had new airbags fitted last year and it’s been fine.but due to a cooling problem it has only been doing short journeys and now it seems to be struggling to settle on a setting...
