I add coke then put wash power on top, scrub with brush, as a bit more coke, scrub and rinse with water. Bad stains repeat when dry and it's all good. Doesn't work as well with Diet Coke or Coke Zero

I use full fat coke with washing powder. Let it soak and scrub. Always works for me

Ok I'll do the head gasket at same time as timing belt I guess. Was hoping it wasn't that. Do you recommend skimming the head? Radiator is hot also so guess that shows water is circulating and not blocked so guess head gasket would be a good start

Ok, it's back running. I ran a new wire from the back of the ignition barrel to the stop solenoid and it fired straight up. Some other wires are a little charred but are still fully covered. Looking at the wires they could probably do with being re-done at some point but that can wait until...

Yes From research it would appear that the black and white wire goes direct from the ignition terminal 5 to the stop solenoid. Usually melts when people try installing fuel cut off so wondering if this has been tried. Anyway apparently it is a direct wire so I will try replacing this on Tuesday...

I think with the colour you have gone for and the galv capping a the wolf wheels will look better than the boosts. Prob off white to match an off white roof maybe?

It's a 200tdi conversion from a td so guessing that's wire the wires are non standard. I'll put battery back on and have another look in morn. When the smoke started the car cut out and then would not re start so could be starter wiring I guess
