    F*##ing oil.

I add coke then put wash power on top, scrub with brush, as a bit more coke, scrub and rinse with water. Bad stains repeat when dry and it's all good. Doesn't work as well with Diet Coke or Coke Zero

    200tdi conversion downpipe

just another quick question. The downpipe on my 200tdi conversion is rotten but only the lower part not the top section where all the bends are. Is it best to order a standard downpipe and cut it down and fit and clamp into the angled bit. I ask this as a downpipe is £30 where the conversion...

Is it game over for my head?

head is off and there is a crack between valves 3 and 4 and valves 5 and 6 Is this head now knackered? I got another head off eBay today but there is minor damage, as per photos. Will this cause issue? It's straight but if it needs to be skimmed due to damage I will send it back and try and...

    200tdi conversion turbo removal

Bolts are a good idea. Anyone know size so I can order some? I think I have about done it. Didn't see the clamp holding manifold to block, taking out those 2 13mm bolts and I should be all good. Sometimes just can't see for looking

    200tdi conversion turbo removal

hi guys, Just in the process of removing the head and I have hit a snag. I can't get the manifold off as I can't remove the downpipe from the turbo due to the bulkhead being in the way. Nuts holding manifold to turbo look fooked and difficult to remove. Also don't fancy trying to remove the...

    Overheating 200tdi

Ok I'll do the head gasket at same time as timing belt I guess. Was hoping it wasn't that. Do you recommend skimming the head? Radiator is hot also so guess that shows water is circulating and not blocked so guess head gasket would be a good start

    Overheating 200tdi

hi guys, I have a 200tdi conversion which was running fine with the temp gauge at half way. Whilst driving to work it snapped the aux belt and as such I drove it home with no power steering and it got hot. Journey was about 5 miles. I replaced aux belt and since then the temp runs at 3/4 or full...

    help with this wire?

Ok, it's back running. I ran a new wire from the back of the ignition barrel to the stop solenoid and it fired straight up. Some other wires are a little charred but are still fully covered. Looking at the wires they could probably do with being re-done at some point but that can wait until...

    help with this wire?

Yes From research it would appear that the black and white wire goes direct from the ignition terminal 5 to the stop solenoid. Usually melts when people try installing fuel cut off so wondering if this has been tried. Anyway apparently it is a direct wire so I will try replacing this on Tuesday...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild (round 3)

I think with the colour you have gone for and the galv capping a the wolf wheels will look better than the boosts. Prob off white to match an off white roof maybe?

    help with this wire?

It's a 200tdi conversion from a td so guessing that's wire the wires are non standard. I'll put battery back on and have another look in morn. When the smoke started the car cut out and then would not re start so could be starter wiring I guess
