Sorted. A pry bar and a bit of wiggling. I also forgot the car suspension goes up as looses engine weight :)

Did you replace the expansion tank cap also. Who tested your head gasket and what did he test as sounds more head gasket for that sort of pressure. Is the car overheating on temp gauge

What's mileage on your engine. No ladder frame on 300 so you can pretty much rebuild it in the vehicle. Parts are quite cheap also. So if you rebuild the one you have you will save yourself £400 on buying another engine if you planned to rebuild one anyway. Only expensive bits are conrods and...
