    Ive got a 97 300 auto myself. Talking to other disco users both 300 and TD5 I believe that if you get a bad TD5 then things just go from bad to worse and problems never stop, parts are expensive and they arnt so easy to work on yourself but, if you get a good one then, like Martin said above...

    Why Cornwall is my home County there's only so much working with the Navy one can take, RUM, BUM and BACKY just wears thin to a Crab after nearky 5 years. Plus in Oxfordshire there's actually stuff to do when it rains. The kids can only take so much green laning on a wet Cornish weekend!!!

    Ive fitted springs on the pins in between the inner and outter pads. Dont believe pads are handed. But if disco calipers are known to wear sound like I'll have to splash some cash.

    Mate you buy yourself a Disco if thats what you want. Mind you they are all right about the 4ltr thing. A nice 'comfortable' 300tdi is the way forward, as long as it's not rotten of course.
