    Cat flap tailgate parts

Hi we've got catflap and tailgate on our ex coastguard series 3 - the lower tailgate is just a standard one and the catflap has two bars that lock it, with a lip at the bottom which stops the tailgate from coming down. Hubby sez that they can be side or bottom mounted. There is a parts diagram...

    Landy number 2!

Petrol - did about 22 mpg getting her home so not bad! Really want to repaint in original coastguard colours - just got to find out exactly what that was. She has primrose yellow inside roof but looks like new bonnet so not sure whether should be yellow or blue?

    Landy number 2!

With a year's MOT and 6 mths tax - a grand! Engine runs really well and bodywork not too bad, interior pretty good too.

    Landy number 2!

Ooops! We were comparing her to our other series 3 - noticed the difference in lights. Everything seems to match up to Series 3 but she is a late one - just bought replacement hub cap for the one she lost and had to get Defender as apparently they were fitted from 1983 onwards? Learning more...

    Landy number 2!

Exactly! Now thinking of keeping her for winter and putting big ole mud tyres on her and removing roof from the other for the summer!!!!

    Landy number 2!

Wooooh! We just picked up Landy number 2 - 1984 Series 3 ex Coastguard. She came sweetly home, a lovely drive. So far seems to need a tart up but nothing major (and she was meant to be just for spares but now thinking winter car and summer car!!!!!) Hee hee, wot fun.:D:D:D:D:D

    Timing

Have a Series 2a engine in series 3 body - set up new distributor to timing marks and runs really rough. Gave up and set up by ear. Run for few miles and temp guage just above middle. Is this norm?

    Series 3? I think not!

We thought that - was interested in buying but not now!!!

    Series 3? I think not!

    Series 3? I think not!

Noi more pics but it doesn't look like our series 3 engine! Hubby justy reminded me that our supposed series 3 engine is actually series 2a!
