sometimes yes, It was causing all sorts of problems, I had the Alarm fault error msg on the dash board and no local (landrover specialist!!) garage or auto electrician could work out what it was, it wasn't until I found this site that I got it fixed. I will try and link it in.

I had the very same problem... it was the alarm sensor on the door pillar.

funnily enough i left it in its wade mode all day today, from about 08:00 thinking it might drop but it didn't,i went to pick up the DW from work this evening and all was well, i have however left it in the access mode for a check tomorrow night.
