Ah you've nailed it right on the head there. Mine hasn't got the support, just a tube & separate circular blanking disk. On the plus side (maybe) the gorilla tape worked for 10 mins I had no misfire. Didn't last long. No smoke just missing. Thanks though the unsupported egr is obvious now you...

Purchased an EGR bypass kit but it came with extra gaskets/blanking plates for an EGR cooler. Whilst fitting the actual egr i also noticed there's nowhere on the new egr for the small breather pipe that connected to the old one to go. It states it's for my model & i noticed whilst trawling...

I think I saw an episode of top gear or something where they tried petrol in diesel and vice versa. I believe petrol in a diesel car had no lasting damage and it even ran ok. Diesel in petrol was to a lesser extent ok. I know it'd be different on all vehicles but fingers crossed
