90 - no rear lights working today

I think I've discovered the cause! It perplexed me that there was current at the connecter under the bonnet, and not at the rear, so I had a scrabble around under the body. This was under a mass of insulating tape at the rear. Thank you all for your help.

90 - no rear lights working today

OK. I've re-earthed both sides at the rear and checked the earth blocks. Both seem OK. I've also discovered that there's no live feed on any of the wires coming to the rear of the truck except for the red/green LHS indicator, so it looks like the problem is further up the loom. Next stop is...

90 - no rear lights working today

Hello, I have a pre-Defender 90 and it's been sat idle for a couple of months since its MOT. I started it up today, and none of the rear lights are working. No running reds, no brake lights, no fog light, and no RHS indicator. The left rear indicator does work. I've connected a trailer...

Battery light comes on when charging through puddles

Hi. My 200tdi converted 90 runs with a nice, steady voltmeter reading until I charge through a deep puddle. The battery light then comes on and the volts drop a bit. Could this be the alternator getting wet? And if so, how best to avoid it? Thanks chaps. :)

    Front shock-absorber top-nut - spec needed.

Hi, happy new year. I had to cut off the top nuts (there were two on mine) from my front shock absorber, in order to change the turret. Does anyone happen to know the size and pitch for the top-nut, so I can get a new one? Many thanks :)

Has anyone welded on replacement door pillars?

About 7mph, sheet ice under thin snow, fairly steep decline, 1st gear Hi, came off the throttle a tad too briskly for the decline and within yards was sideways and bounced off the verge. All very slow and rubbish, crash wise. The mother-in-law, who was in the back, was unimpressed. :D

Has anyone welded on replacement door pillars?

Hi chaps. After a slow-motion accident yesterday when my 1987 90 ended up on its side, and the only option to upright it was to drag it 50yds down a lane on ice, it has become apparent that the driver's side door pillar is mainly made of painted body-filler (b*******), so it'll need replacing...
