I would assume that it would be under the headlining next to the heated elements. I dont see why you need to access the ariel amplifier to change a radio.

There are several companys in the UK that carry out a conversion of P38's headlights to the new Range Rover. Yes it does involve alterations to the grill and the sections under the headlights.

The main dealers still sell them £34. What about the spare wheel?

Very straightforward, undo bottom bolt, undo top bolt swap for new one. Take wheel off for better access. Posibly nuts might be tight at bottom so get some WD40. For the shock to snap, I would look closely at the top and bottom mounts for any cracking.
