    D2 V8 radiator

If you intend to keep the vehicle, then why not consider an aluminum radiator. They are brand new, will last for ever and are more efficient. Aftermarket rads are also ok if you get one from a reputable supplier. Genuine rads will cost as much as an aluminum rad but will not last. Try...

Aircon not working :-( Any ideas?

Switch your air con on. Open the bonnet and wait for the compressor to kick in. If it does, check the sight glass on top of the reciever/ dryer to see if there is any gas in the system, you should see the gas bubbling. The reciever/dryer is in front of the compressor. If there is no gas...

    Just My Luck !!

All very simple to do. When they state that the pulley has gone, do they mean broken, seized or the bearings have worn. If you have to change the tensioner, it is only one clamp bolt.

    Just My Luck !!

You could do this yourself. in about half an hour. Buy the belts from Halfords a couple of spanners and your done. The steering went stiff because the belt was no longer driving the pump. Dont pay anybody. Normally the AA or RAC would go and get the belts and change them while you wait...

    Loose Steering

The steering column bearings would be an MOT failure if excessive. As indicated earlier this is not normally picked up unless the inspector is particulaly fussy. If you do replace the column then why not do it yourself, it's not difficult. A garage would want at least 3 hrs. Famous Four...

Radio Amplifier – where is it?

As he mentions radio amplifier, the amplifier is for boosting the radio signal, not to be confused with stereos, sub woofers, speakers ect, ect, The radio signal is picked up and where there is a weak signal the amplifier does what it says on the tin. On a Classic it is connected to the heated...

Radio Amplifier – where is it?

I would assume that it would be under the headlining next to the heated elements. I dont see why you need to access the ariel amplifier to change a radio.

Any one changed a rear damper?? Mine has snapped in half lol

Very straightforward, undo bottom bolt, undo top bolt swap for new one. Take wheel off for better access. Posibly nuts might be tight at bottom so get some WD40. For the shock to snap, I would look closely at the top and bottom mounts for any cracking.

    disco buying help please

Check the rear floor under the insulation very carefully, they rot very badly. The rear crossmember under the rear bumper. The seatbelt mountings inside the rear doors. The inner wings in the engine bay, look at the tops where they join the outer wings. Stains on the headlining indicating...

vented or non vented, i have no idea !

You can put vented discs on your axles, but you will either have to buy new calipers or buy the spacer kit. There is not much difference anyway, in braking efficiency.

    Loose Steering

Check that the steering column is securly bolted to the footwell and the nuts are tight on the engine side of the bodywork. If these are ok make sure that your steering wheel is not loose. If you can still move the steering column about then the bearings have gone in the column and you will...
