I have a 1959 series 2, the engine in it is a 2.25 diesel, I'm trying to find out if this is the original engine as im not sure if they put that engine in for that year, can anyone shed any light on this?

Series 2a bulhead repairing The bulkhead has been shotblasted but there is holes where the handrails and the clocks sit in. How do you remove the handrail as it is spot welded and i cant get the drill in to remove them.

Gonna remove the box next week, How hard is it normally to get out?

I have a discovery2 which when setting off in D the car would drive and rev to 3000rpm then go into limp home mode. I have drained some oil and compared it to ATF dextron2 and it looks dark. Do you think its the clutch and which one?

The garage didnt give me the codes but the have said on the reciept fault traced to xy switch, I can get D and P but if i put it in neutral or 123 i cant get the light or display to display the gear, should i be able to get neutral by turning the switch?????? I have also turned it with a screw...

Hi just started taking it apart, Looks like its been done before as the hole is already there, How do you get the plastic pipe out as i dont want to cut it?

The heater matrix o ring is leaking, Can i get at it to undo the screw for the pipes if i remove the radio and the hevac panel? I have seen the guide on rangerovers.net and it says u have to break or drill a hole to get at the screw.

Just looking at the p38 gearbox (ZF4HP24) I believe this gearbox was also used in the Jaguar x300 - Would the jag engine be a good replacement for all them dead v8's, Would the engine fit onto the p38 gearbox?
