Hi Folks, Trying to find results about heater fan slider switch . I am having intermittent on/off with position 4 , when I move it slightly, it works again. so i suspect its the switch contacts ? Is it correct that whole dash has to come out to fix or replace slider switch ? Thanks

Hi Guys, I do a few longish trailer towing trips a distance of 400 miles a few times each year with fifty sheep all up weight approx 3000kg . Do you think I ought to install an oil cooler for my r380 manual gearbox ? Its a nice smooth box and want to keep it so. Opinions appreciated thanks.

Might be fuel sender/pick up unit top of diesel tank and found at rear floor access plate , often corrode and crack and then suck air or leak. Also dont forget sediment filter unit might be worth checking or bypassing

Been checking things over and front disc guards were loose on their brackets so tightened them. swapped tyres around also. Unfortunately its still making that noise .My wife says she does not hear it ! and a keen car type friend says its just typical 4x4 rumble as apposed to a refined modern...

Pure road tyres. 205x70x16 Swapping them for another set will be next test.

One test for CV is to do a tight circle clockwise and then anticlockwise respectively preferably against a hill in a safe location , if you hear knocking that is it. the inner circle cv makes the knocking if you know what i mean. Cheers

I didnt describe that noise too well did I , and just to help , sounds bit like as I had an off road knobbly tyre on the front drivers side with the rumble and oscillation but only at 58 ish mph. Have checked all body panels and they are tight . THE cv joint does not knock on tight cornering...

Just another suggestion , I had a leaky PS box also. Dropped an anti-leak chemical product into the PS fluid and it stopped the leak completely.and that's about 3 years or 40k ago.
