    Anyone benchtested a wastegate????

for a 300tdi, the waste gate should operate at around 12psi, which is about 0.8bar...however, boost gauge I have on the vehicle is showing 1 bar at full accelaration, which is about 15psi. I would suggest setting the waste gate to between 13 - 14 psi, and fit a boost gauge to monitor. Then...

Using different size tyres on back and front axles .... is it detramental ??

IF you REALLY HAVE TO run tyres of different makes and sizes, run it on only 1 axle with one of the prop shaft taken off, as has been mentioned by some one previously. You will need to lock the center diff tho.

    Tyres rubbing.

you should only consider HD springs under the following scenarios: - you carry a lot of gear when off roading - your standard springs wallows like a ship (moreso the shock absorbers being ineffective in this scenario) - you intend to remove the anti roll bars HD springs will give you stiffer...

    Tyres rubbing.

extension on the bumpstop is actually the cheapest option. And yes, it will reduce the articulation a little, but not to a point affect the capability of the vehicle off road, unless you are on full articulation all the time, which is hardly the case. when extended bumpstop is fitted, it'll...

    Tyres rubbing.

same prob I had years ago when I fitted 235/70/16 muds to a Rangie on standard springs. Tyres were not rubbing onto the wheel arch lips, but were rubbing onto the top arch, where seat belts are anchored. Only happens on full articulation tho. You can fix this by either 1) fit extended bump...

    confused about tyres!!!

assuming we are comparing 235/85/16 MT to 235/70/16 MT. road handling...no difference, as handling has already changed from standard after fitting lift kit. acceleration.......will be slower on the 85's hill climb.........you may need 4th gear (85's) as oppose to 5th gear (70's) due to...
