edc equipped disco has a cable that runs from pedal to a bracket just above injection pump to operate the autobox kickdown.....and the fly by wire is operated through the potentiometer....

that's the exact 'switch' at the pedal......a bitch to get to and bloody expensive to replace too.....hence I've decided to ditch the whole electronic injection system....

get yourself a rear prop shaft from a 200tdi with 4 bolts on the UJ side.....then a 4 bolt flange kit....and a pinion spacer (some vehicle required them)......fit them on...job done....did that on mine a few months back 4 Bolt Flange Kit Pinion Spacer
