    Morocco Easter time 2015

You were/are lucky then as in my 25years of being here in France the assistance cover is about as much use as I chocolate hammer ! Just take you to the nearest garage regardless and dump you !

Td5 Sluggish - Lack of Power - Nanocom readings

I had this problem with a 2001 110 td5 that I bought a few years ago. Absolutely flat as a fart would'nt even pull in 5th on the motorway. First thing I did was buy a NNN ECU off a mate with a stage one boost, absolutely transformed the vehicle ! I have had other TD5's and have never to do...

    Best tyres

The 205 is the width & the 80 is the height (percentage of the width ) so it's still going to look silly :) Standard def tyre size is 235/85/16 so with a 265/75/16 they are wider and keep the same height as original !

    Best tyres

Defenders look **** with skinny wheels & tyres, some 235/85 look **** & skinny too but BF'S look ok ! I have 265/75 on mine and am more than happy with the way it stands/looks :)

    TD5 security problems

If it's the alarm then get sombody with nanocom to disable it (Auzzi mode) ! Does your temp gauge go straight to the red when it's not working ? Have you tried wiggling connections on yellow relay under seat ? Need more info ? I have a 2001 110 and had a 30A wire to said relay short...

    Best tyres

Special track handle supriseingly well on the road , I suppose they are going to wear quickly with road use and not be any good for what they are realy ment for !

    Best tyres

They are not too bad once you have got used to the noise like being chased by a Helicopter. I run a set on my 110 ! Also got some cooper mixed that have done about 30K and only half worn & a set of Bf muds (old style) that just refuse to wear out ! If we are going on a long journey I put my...

Oil in both intercooler pipes. Any ideas??

I would'nt worry about it ! Every Turbo Diesel I have had regardless of make has done this in the turbo intercooler pipes ! I think it's mainly coming from the engine breather as a vapour and then condenses in the intercooler/pipes back into oil !

    Replacing rear discs

    Where to leave my 110

My mate left his car at one of those private airport car parks last year and some time after realised that some bastide had nicked his nearly new tyres off it and replaced them with the same make but worn to the bone !!

    indicator fault again

Same here ! And then would'nt work at all . I ended up taking the hazzzzzzard switch out cleaning all the conections on the back that had oxidised, squirt of WD40 or two and it's been fine ever since :)

    Engine Swap in France

Just do it and don't say anything ! I know at least 10 people that have done this conversion and have never had any bother !

Moving to France with a 'fender

Forget it ! You can't register it in France as it's not got it's original engine, the only way round it is to wait until it's 30 years old and then register it as a classic car ! Same applies to all hard tops that have been changed to SW ! The certificate of comformity says exactly what vehicle...

    Auto box fault

The correct procedure for the correct oil level is with the engine running, oil at correct running temperature and sombody manualy going up and down through the box and the ATF should dribble out of the side plug. Don't stop the engine before you put the plug back in as the box dumps the oil and...

    Auto box fault

I had this and it was the main loom to the box that was rubbing on the tunnel and shorting !!

    TD5 Short circuit Dilema

Thanks for that Brown I have just yanked on the loom where it goes through the bulkhead and it's worked fine ever since but am not happy with this solution but am at a wit's end to what else I can do  I cut a piece of plastic pipe that I wanted to push underneath the loom where...
