i wish i had kept my 109 1968 safari 2.6, worth a few bob now!! The 2.6 lumps are smooth however lathargic when compared to modern landys. I would rebuild the transfer box and the gearbox just as a precaution sitting doesn't do them any favours ;)

Yes buzzweld & dinitrol are very good. Much better than the hammerite stuff which looks like vomit! and gets in your hair, eyes and clothes when your working underneath her.

DON'T USE HAMMERITE!! it traps water and causes rot even when the area is prepped properly!! buzzweld and dinitrol are best IMO

If a tune and bigger intercooler only gets you 4hp i imagine a "shiney" turbo will do fook all :D

I've heard horror stories of cracked blocks, slipping liners, headgasket woes yada yada yada. My 4.6 is quiet as a door mouse with 120k and as far as i can tell it has been well maintained. how do i know if it has slipped liners or a cracked block? according to the seller i bought it off she...

well i've bought a light blue 4.6!! with a leaking transferbox and engine lol. my first problem.. Already is when i selected Reverse it didn't engage i had to go to park and back to R for it to work ugh.
