I could of had an L322. 4.4. But i bought a lovely Monte carlo blue P38 instead, why?? its easier to fix!! i do my own spannering and parts wise its much cheaper than the l322. Don't get me wrong they are nice to drive but way too complicated for me, i come from RRC and old series...

You can claim what you want, but they were very thirsty. single digit mpg figures were all too common. And considering my bosch Fuel injected v8 is only getting 14mpg i'd say the rv8 is thirty no matter what guise its in Carb'd or injected.

The 2.25 is bomb proof. Miles better than the clatter box diesel :D

You better believe em :rolleyes: The petrols were utter crap on fuel hence the reason for me buying a Diesel RRC. I still bought a 3.9 manual vogue as a toy and the '83 auto was unique but still thirsty as fook.

The price of LPG around me is stupidly expensive 79p a litre is only a small saving compared to 1.14 a litre petrol. still a nice car to drive though!!

Same here lol i had a 1974 3.5 that did 7mpg around town and 10mpg motorway. my 1983 3spd auto 3.5 did 3mpg towing a trailer!! nowadays at 1.20 a litre its impossible!!

It was unattainable when i had my classics many years ago, so i might be worth rebonding/reusing the original.
