    TD4 Intermittent wiper problem

Check that all the pins in the plugs are properly seated. I had the same problem and turned out one of the pins at the motor end of the loom wasn't fully home. A gentle push with a thin screwdriver popped it back into place and normality was restored. Yeah, I found out AFTER fitting a new...

Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it infamy!

    landrovercity.com anyone used them?

It's ok, I run a litigation team on my current project, with an operational budget of >£15m. I've got a small damp patch where I've let out a little bit of wee while giggling at the idea that I can be sued for posting information that's already in the public domain IN A POSITIVE LIGHT...

    landrovercity.com anyone used them?

All the factual information quoted is public domain (as a director of a Limited Company your details are a matter of public record by law) and are freely available using Google. Some the google results in question are below. If there is anything specific on there that you disagree with, take...

    landrovercity.com anyone used them?

In a former life I used to trace people who had decided it was a good idea to do a midnight flit without paying rent etc, while driving around in a car on credit they had no intention of paying for. The car was what I was after, as I worked for a vehicle finance company. That was before ANPR...

    landrovercity.com anyone used them?

Haven't used them, but a quick dig found this: LandRoverCity is the trading name of NCA Motors Limited, . They registered Landrovercity.com and Landrovercity.co.uk on 15 Jan 2012, which broadly coincided with when NCA Motors Limited started business. The business has a net worth of just...

Hazard warning & indicators not working

9v may not be enough to energise it. May be better to take a cheeky 12v off your car battery.

    Reversing buzzer

Put "reverse sensor led display" in eBay and you'll find loads of solutions for under £20. Would be a bit of head scratching to make them work with existing sensors but not impossible.

    New alternator needed....

Cool, there are plenty of threads on Freelander and Rover 75 forums asking this question, but none have ever confirmed it fits and does the job. Thanks for updating us

    Freelander lift kit

40mm lift and max 225/75/16 tyres (you may need spacers at thast size, is marginal) will give you the same clearance as a Defender. I regularly lane with a bunch in stock 90s and 110s and they still can't believe where a mildly lifted freelander will go.

P1637 fault code, speedo, rev counter not working, and all 3 amigos on

As Nodge says, check all your cabling and connectors on all the control modules, starting with the ABS connectors. Look for signs of arcing out corrosion on pins and plugs, look for chafing on harnesses and work your way around the harness. HDC switch, brake switch, abs sensors and associated...

P1637 fault code, speedo, rev counter not working, and all 3 amigos on

Hawkeye from Bearmach is more versatile as it allows you to change the state of modules, including calibration, however it's more than twice the price and only allows single vehicle type use. The i930 gets some good reviews and covers a lot of JLR specific codes and faults, and can be had for...

P1637 fault code, speedo, rev counter not working, and all 3 amigos on

Did u have P0606 and P0102 before the other codes were cleared? Given that the harness only costs £20 + VAT/P&P, I'd order one anyway. Going to be cheaper than any CANBUS diagnostics!

    Freelander 1 Dampness maybe?

Is the latch triggering and actually opening the door to the first stop? The rear door is CCU controlled, so it may be an issue there. autologic or the bearmach tool should be able to read the state of the module, however, a word of caution..... I had a short on the tailgate wiring loom that...

Suspected IRD issue. Someone tell me I'm wrong!

When you check the wheels turn, are both wheels off the ground? If so, once you get one wheel spinning, what happens when you stop the opposing wheel? Have you tried freeing them off then manually turning both in the same direction? (Obviously needs a helper). Beginning to sound like the rear...

Freelander 1 Longer roof rails from mk2

You might find some inspiration here: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/3door-roof-rails-on-5-door.244474/ EDIT: And have you looked at the Brownchurch 91 for Freelander? http://www.brownchurch.co.uk/products/roof-racks/freelander/

Freelander 1 Longer roof rails from mk2

It fixes at all three points. See Topix : https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/content/document/view?id=60428&groupId=1668 for accessory fitting instructions (part is LR006608V3) EDIT: Also doubt the centre-to-centre on the first and second fixing points matches the FL1.

You're right, hadn't spotted that. Well, one less thing to fail on my 54 plate then!
