Air intake pipework, flush intercooler, filters. Not revving over 2.5k has to be lack of fuel or air, my guess would be either delamination of the intercooler pipework or lift pump fubar, neither of these is an uncommon problem. Let is know how you get on.

Yep the track rod is the longer one at the back of the axle and the drag is the shorter one at the front.
