    Series 3 Colour choice??

Yeah I've always been a blue fan, but seeing pictures like the middle one is edging me over a bit, maybe because its just a little bit rarer... Just go as a coarse as you can, say 60, to get the worst back quickly, as you can always just go over it again with finer and finer grits until its...

    Series 3 Colour choice??

I'm in the same position! I'm going with the marine (light) blue classic S3 colour, it's original colour but at some point it was painted over in green. Its the perfect opportunity to make it unique though, even if its slightly different colour to originals. Is it military? If it is I reckon it...

Is your Disco getting a Xmas present?

Inspired by the guy on Facebook that didn't even know it was a D2? ;) Already had Dolly remapped for Xmas and birthday prezzie shortly after xmas, she's had a new stereo, load cover, and is getting some new wiring, might get her a snorkel and a light bar too!

    Disco 3 (LR3) elm 327 Update

Yeah I've had my Hawkeye a while now, only want a working adapter if there is one to get the bits and bobs on the stereo as it used to be pretty cool in my old car, obviously live data on a Hawkeye isnt all that clear as you have to go through every single one whereas nanocoms got a nice screen...

    Disco 3 (LR3) elm 327 Update

Had a number of those bluetooth adapters, love the Torque app the full versions great! When i had my old fiesta i made a slide in slide out holder where the stereo used to be for my android tablet, so i had a big gauges gor mpg speed HP etc. All on the big screen in the dash, my current adapter...

    Discovery 2 off-road modifications

If you lock uo front and rear axles, but without CDL, surely you wont have full lock as the CD will still sent oomph to the axle (not wheel) with least resistance, whether its locked up or not? Kinda contradicting my last post

    Discovery 2 off-road modifications

I would agree on the basis that you're mainly going to need lockers and maximum traction when heading up an incline of some form, like a hill climb or the sort, where the front is going to have alot less weight on as it transfers to the back wheels, giving them more traction anyway. Downhill...

Post some pics as you go and/or do a thread on it! Would like to see a black D2 like mine beefed up, with that long list you could do a great write up :)

    land rover series 3 1974 (advice/help) needed

Was gonna say it could be your transfer gears! If its still whining, check all your levels and anything obvious, mine has a small whine when clutch is lifted so is it loud or really subtle? Is it only when cold after just starting?

    Discovery 2 off-road modifications

Blimey me all of those! How much will that come to? I work for you now :D Ya say air lockers, what ya gonna do bout the traction control? And if youre fitting a CDL i reckon you might struggle to make enough worth/use of the full lockers if you leave TC in, my TC blew me away on the slippery...

    Discovery 2 off-road modifications

Think that cutting up your fenders will be you best friend there, and if youre after full artic then even a lift wont help if you havent got a real chunky set of arches. Theyll probably let you get away with less lift, if youre on facebook it might also be worth asking the folks on the...

    Discovery 2 off-road modifications

Nice looker! Think you might find that if you do struggle with suitable kits for that much height a 2" plus taller tyres is gonna be more than enough maybe, even if you did stick with air, going with the spacer that MJ mentioned, as well as lift at front im sure that then means when you get off...

    Discovery 2 off-road modifications

Got any pics?! Sorry i can't advise on the suspension parts, but the very first thing i personally would recommend, (i havent got to this stage yet though myself) would be to ensure that you have enough protection from any and all things off road. By the sounds of it, wanting a 4" lift you...

Disco 2 Best 12v Live Feed Point?

Have ordered some new terminals, with the connectivity option, and a full wiring kit enough for me to totally re wire it, not that thats necessary, so will be set to also add a fuse box in the future :)

Disco 2 Best 12v Live Feed Point?

Cheers for the help chaps, will have a looksie see what will fit best as the original wiring that came with it and was used previous is linked up, might get new terminals anyway as they didnt tighten down too well and had come off before! Before i gave em a sort but theyre not great :)
