Hi. I'm trying to get the hand brake light working on my 300 tdi defender. Have checked the bulb and it's working and the wire is connected to the switch at the hand brake. Anyone any ideas please?

Trying to get my hand brake light working on my 300 tdi. Have checked the bulb and it's ok. The wire is connected up to the switch at the hand brake have checked for power there but can't get any. Has anybody got any ideas how to fix this please?

Bought a defender 300tdi last September. Done a few jobs to her already like new timing belt kit new rear crossmember and wired up a few new lights.
